An 18-year-old boy riding his skateboard was struck and killed by an SUV in a hit-and-run in Gravesend, police say.
The incident happened Sunday at the intersection of West 10th Street and Avenue T around 3 p.m.
Alejandro Tello was returning home from work at an amusement park on Shore Parkway when he was struck by the white BMW SUV that turned south on West 10th Street.
The New Utrect High School student was rushed to Maimonides Hospital, where police say he later died.
The driver of the SUV fled, but police say they located the vehicle about two miles from the scene.
A GoFundMe page has been set up for members of Tello's family.
