Rain swamps borough, breaks heat wave
Brooklyn residents battled soggy and windy conditions Monday, but the wet weather also brought relief from the recent heat.
Commuters refused to let the rain delay them too much. Most were armed with umbrellas, rain coats and wet weather gear as temperatures dropped into the 60s -- a dramatic change from last week's heat wave.
Some say there isn't much you can do about the weather -- you just go with the flow. For many residents, that meant turning off the air conditioner, opening the windows and saving some money.
News 12 meteorologists are warning drivers to continue to be careful on the wet roads.
Rain is expected to continue into Tuesday morning, when temperatures will climb into the low- to mid-70s, according to forecasts.
