MOTT HAVEN -

A two-alarm fire destroyed a home in Mott Haven Wednesday, fire officials say.

The fire broke out on the first floor of a home on E. 145th Street and Wales Avenue after 3 a.m.

Roughly 105 firefighters responded to the blaze, according to officials.

They say no one was home at the time of the fire but a family of nine did live inside.

They say the family was out of the home at the time of the fire because the house is undergoing renovations.

Officials say no one was injured and they are investigating the cause of the fire.
