THE BRONX -

Yankee Stadium hosted the Bronx Borough President's Cup championship game on Thursday.

In order to qualify for the cup, Little League players from around the borough had to prove themselves on the field, in addition to meeting academic requirements that include a B average, 90 percent school attendance and community service involvement.

Thursday's matchup pitted the Caribe Little League and Bronxchester Realtors against each other.

This is the seventh year of the Bronx Borough President's Cup.
