Officers cruise down Jerome Avenue for charity

Police officers rode their motorcycles in the Bronx today for the 35th annual "Suicide Run."
Hundreds of bikers rode on Jerome Avenue to raise money for charity. News 12 The Bronx is told the majority of participants are active and retired officers who are part of a group called the Blue Knights.
The Blue Knights International Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club raises funds for suicide prevention. The event also raises funds for the Wounded Warrior Project, the Make A Wish Foundation, and an organization called Cop Shot, which awards anyone who provides information leading to the arrest or conviction of a person who shot a police officer.
Police officers from all over the country and the world come to the borough to participate in the event.
The Blue Knights have about 250 chapters with almost 20,000 members throughout 29 countries.
