Plenty came out to Brownsville Thursday for the neighborhood's Music and Arts Festival.
Hosted by the Brownsville Community Justice Center, the event features music, vendors, food and even a wellness circle.
Local businesses and eateries showed off their best products and food, and there was also live art, interactive technology stations and performances by some well-known Brooklyn natives -- Grammy-winning singer Elle Varner and emcee Nitty Scott, as well as rapper Dave East.
The event was put together by Brownsville LIVE, a youth-led social enterprise powered by the justice center.
Many attendees told News 12 that the festival is a beautiful celebration of the art and culture that Brownsville has to offer.
