35-year-old man fatally shot in Morrisania

MORRISANIA -

A 35-year-old man was fatally shot in Morrisania Tuesday, police say.

The incident happened at the intersection of East 166th Street and Franklin Avenue around 2 a.m.

Police say they found the man with one gunshot wound to his body after receiving a 911 call about a shooting.

The man was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where officials say he was pronounced dead.

No arrests have been made and police say they are investigating.

The man's identity has not been released by officials.
