New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio has won the Democratic nomination in his re-election bid.

The mayor won with over 74 percent of the vote over four other candidates. 

Eric Gonzalez won the Democratic primary for Brooklyn District Attorney, the Wall St. Journal reports. He has been serving as the borough's acting district attorney.

For Brooklyn Democrats vying for City Council, incumbent Antonio Reynoso won the primary for District 34; incumbent Laurie Cumbo won District 35; incumbent Carlos Menchaca won District 38; incumbent Mathieu Eugene won District 40; Alicka Ampry-Samuel won District 41; incumbent Inez Barron won District 42; incumbent Jumaane Williams won District 45 and incumbent Chaim Deutsch won District 48.

For the City Council District 43 seat, Justin Brannan won the Democratic nod and John Quaglione won the Republican primary.

Letitia James handily won the Democratic primary for public advocate.

The mayor goes on to the general election on Tuesday, Nov. 7 where he will run against State Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis.
