Hostos Community College is honoring the legacy of three sisters credited for being pioneers of the Bronx for Hispanic Heritage month.
An art exhibit is on display featuring photographs of the three sisters, Evelina López Antonetty, Lilian López and Elba López.
The sisters are credited as being civil rights activists who helped Puerto Rican children with school environments and education in the Bronx beginning in the 1960s.
The exhibit is part of Hispanic Heritage month and will remain on display at the college through Oct. 10.
