Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect they say tried to rob an elderly man in Bensonhurst.
Police say the incident happened on Aug. 26.
They say the suspect walked up to the 82-year-old victim on Bay Parkway.
He then grabbed him and demanded money.
The victim was able to escape unharmed. The suspect ran away.
