Man accused of robbing woman inside Bronx elevator

A man is accused of robbing a woman of her purse inside an elevator in the Bronx, police say.

The incident happened Saturday inside a building on Valentine Avenue and E. 180th Street around 10:40 p.m.

The suspect followed the 30-year-old woman inside the elevator, then robbed her once the two were alone inside, according to police.

Police released surveillance video of the suspect holding the woman's purse as he runs out of the elevator.

Anyone who recognize him is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
