Three Norwalk drug dealers kidnapped a man whose friend allegedly bought marijuana from them with counterfeit money in Stamford, police say.
After pistol whipping the victim and breaking his jaw, police say brothers Daniel and David Morgan and Tre Brown brought him to the friend's Barnstable Lane home.
"He wasn't even necessarily using the drugs himself," says Lt. Tom Barcello, of the Stamford Police Department. "He just hooked somebody else up, but he got caught right in the middle of it on both ends."
He was hospitalized for a broken jaw, treated and released.
Police believe the drug dealers might have been short about $100 in the deal.
"To go to that extreme for that little amount of money, that's pretty extreme," Barcello says.
A judge ordered both Morgans and Brown held on $200,000 bond.
Neither the victim or his friend will face charges, police say.
