Police: Woman stole exotic lizards from pet shop with kids in tow

Police are seeking the woman seen on surveillance video stealing several bearded dragon lizards from a Huntington Station pet store while children were with her.
Staff at Selmer's Pet Land say they are keeping a close eye on their stock of exotic pets after the woman allegedly stole the four lizards. She had two young boys with her at the time.
A security camera was rolling during the Aug. 23 incident. In the video, the woman and two boys cut into a screen above the tank. Then one boy appears to keep watch while the other pulls a lizard out of the tank and places it inside the woman's purse.
Selmer's staff say the lizards stolen were unique and worth about $1,500. One was already slated to go home with a customer before the theft.
The shop has upped security measures since the lizards were stolen, including adding an extra security camera to the reptile room.
Suffolk police are offering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest.
