Brooklyn native Jimmy Kimmel is back in the borough to tape a week of late-night shows.
Kimmel is performing on a customized Brooklyn-themed set at BAM.
He says his crews spent 22 straight hours setting up the stage.
The host joked Monday night on why he decided to bring the show back to Brooklyn.
"Last time we were here, people asked, 'will you ever come back?' and I said 'only if you promise to open 2,000 new cold-press juice shops' and you did so here I am," said Kimmel.
Kimmel grew up in Mill Basin and said that he was excited to be back in Brooklyn to perform for the third time.
"It's great to be able to do the show here at BAM one last time before they turn into a Whole Foods store, so thank you again," he says.
Kimmel says he is looking forward to the energy of the Brooklyn fans.
Fans lined up Monday afternoon to try to get a spot in the audience.
Kimmel will tape a total of five shows while in Brooklyn.
