The historic Plymouth Church in Brooklyn Heights is doing what it can to help the homeless community.

Every fall, the church invites about 10 homeless men inside each night for a good meal, company and a warm place to sleep as part of its "stabilization bed" program.

Two church members volunteer to cook and eat with the men, and then another couple comes after and stays the night. The programs runs for a month every year and is in partnership with the nonprofit CAMBA.

Brett Younger, the church's senior minister, says the program embraces the homeless in the neighborhood and is a fulfilling experience for volunteers.

This year's program began in September and runs through the morning of Oct. 27.
