Hundreds come together to celebrate Cambodian culture

Hundreds of people came together Saturday to celebrate the Bon Karten ceremony at a Buddhist temple in Prospect Park South.
Every year, millions of Cambodians around the world come together to celebrate their monks, perform traditional dances and honor Buddha for Bon Karten.
"It's very important because we want to show the world that we are the minority of people living in the United States we still have our rich culture," says Cambodian Buddhist Temple President Kenny Seng.
Organizers say one of the most important parts of the Bon Karten celebration is keeping Cambodian culture alive and teaching traditions to the younger generations.
