Police released new information on a shooting that took the life of a 22-year-old father in Wakefield.

Police say Raul Melendez was fatally shot in the stomach and head Friday morning in his apartment on Bronx Boulevard.

The NYPD tells News 12 that two men, who are seen in surveillance video, walked into the apartment building and moments later, they ran out with what is believed to be Melendez's clothes.

Police say both suspects have slim body types. Both were wearing dark-colored hoodies, sweaters and black jackets with sneakers. One was wearing jeans and the other was in black pants.

The victim's cousin told News 12 the superintendent of the building heard the gunshots and called Melendez's father, who discovered his son's body.
