Wet turkeys, deep fryers and lots of oil definitely don't mix.

In a dramatic warning ahead of Thanksgiving, Brookhaven fire officials demonstrated Monday how dangerous it can be to deep fry a turkey.

Officials say that using a wet bird and too much oil can quickly turn into an inferno.

Residents are being reminded to keep their deep fryers outside, and to keep a close eye on it as the turkey cooks.
