Video shows thief take exotic bird from Bushwick store

Surveillance video shows a thief making off with an exotic bird from a Bushwick pet store.
"He actually took a napkin, grabbed the bird, put it in his pocket and just walked right out," says Petland Discounts assistant manager Anthony Silva, who was on duty that day.
Silva was busy with another animal at the time and didn't notice the theft until another employee brought it to his attention.
Police say the bird-napper broke into the exotic bird cage in the back of the store Tuesday night and took a Quaker blue parrot valued at $500.
This isn't the first time the Graham Avenue store has been targeted, according to Silva. He says three months ago someone took another exotic bird worth about $600.
