Police say a woman was killed Saturday when she was struck by two vehicles while trying to cross Hempstead Turnpike in Bethpage.
Investigators say the first car struck the 66-year-old woman as she was trying to cross near Emerson Avenue shortly after 5 p.m.
Moments later, she was then run over by an SUV.
The victim has been identified as Swinderpal Kaur, of Farmingdale.
Authorities say both drivers remained at the scene, and no charges have been filed in the case.
