The 22nd annual Sugar Plum Ball hosted by the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County was held Sunday at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
The event allows fathers and daughters to enjoy a festive evening of dinner and dancing, all for a good cause.
"It's just such an amazing and magical time of year and this ball allows the dads and daughters to get together to experience magic and Christmas," says Jessica Curreri, an organizer of the event.
The evening included a performance of the "Waltz of the Flowers" from the Nutcracker Ballet, a magic show and a visit from the Sugar Plum Fairy.
Daughters as young as 2 years old like Jessica’s daughter, Izzy Curreri, attended the event. Her father Chris Curreri was right there by her side.
"For me, this time of year is about family and tradition," Chris says. “And this is going to be a tradition that is going to be passed down from Jessica and her father to me and my daughter.”
Proceeds from the dance went toward Cerebral Palsy of Nassau County.
