Cheddar Afternoon Business Update 12/29: IPOs, Netflix, General MillsPosted: Updated:
2017 was a big year for IPOs.
Companies like Snap, the parent of Snapchat, officially went public.
Experts say 2018 could see even more tech IPOs, including Spotify, Lyft, Airbnb and WeWork.
Netflix's latest original film may not be getting great reviews, but it appears people are still watching it.
Nielsen says 11 million people viewed the Will Smith-helmed "Bright" in the first three days since its release.
That compares to the 3 million who watched “The Crown” and the nearly 16 million who tuned in for the second season of “Stranger Things.”
Netflix, though, disputes those numbers and says they’re too low.
Also, cereal maker General Mills has released a hybrid cereal of Lucky Charms and Frosted Flakes.
The cereal is sweetened cornflakes with colorful marshmallows.
It's not clear where the cereal is available or if it’s limited edition, but the sugary treat is sure to be magically delicious.
