Central Islip man charged with attacking woman at LIRR station

Police say they have arrested the man accused of punching a Long Island Rail Road rider in the face, causing her to fall onto the tracks.
Troy Liddell has been charged with assault and reckless endangerment.
MTA police say the incident happened at the Central Islip station Wednesday morning.
Witnesses tell News 12 the 28-year-old victim from Smithtown accidentally bumped into the suspect, and that's when he hit her.
A Good Samaritan jumped onto the tracks to save her, minutes before a train came.
The woman was treated at a hospital and released.
