Police arrested one of four suspects in connection with a jewelry store robbery in Wilton.
Police say 56-year-old Yolanda Santa, of Ridgewood, New York, was one of four suspects who robbed Campus Jewelers on River Road in October. They say Santa and two other women went into the store and distracted the sales people while the man they were with stole jewelry from behind the counter. Police say the four made off with thousands of dollars in merchandise.
Police arrested Santa earlier this month. She was brought back to Connecticut Wednesday. Police say they have secured arrest warrants for the other suspects.
Wilton police were able to figure out who was behind the crime after a lengthy investigation that involved help from the NYPD, the Nassau County Sheriff's Department and the FBI.
Santa was charged with larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny. She will be arraigned Thursday.
