State police arrest 2 after stolen-car chase down I-95
State police say two suspects flying down the highway in a stolen car led troopers on a high-speed chase through Bridgeport Wednesday.
It began when troopers saw a black 2007 Honda Accord speeding along Interstate 95 in Milford at more than 120 mph, according to authorities. It ended in a crash on Route 8 in Bridgeport, near the Troop G headquarters.
Police say they arrested 27-year-old Quientan Brown, of Bridgeport, and a 17-year-old boy who they did not identify. Two females in the car were not charged.
They say they don't expect to file any additional charges.
"The vast majority of the cars that we deal with and recover appear to be more of a joyriding, crime of opportunity situation," says State Police Sgt. Robert Derry.
The car was stolen from Ansonia last month.
