Hundreds of kids hit the ice Thursday in Prospect Park as part of the Department of Youth and Community Development's Annual Skate Day.
It was the 12th installment of the event that organizers say gives kids a chance to learn some new skills while enjoying time with friends and neighbors.
About 500 kids took part in the event.
