Several survivors of the Florida school shooting will be in New Jersey this weekend for talks on gun control, as new developments come to light in the wake the deadly massacre.

It’s been previously reported that the armed sheriff's deputy assigned to the school did not go in when the shooting that killed 17 people began. But CNN reported Friday that he was not the only one, saying three other Broward County deputies took cover behind their cars and waited as Nikolas Cruz murdered students and faculty inside the school.

However, police from nearby Coral Springs did go into the school immediately upon arrival. They held a press conference Friday.

Several students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School who survived last week's tragedy will be in New Jersey today.

They are expected to speak with local officials and leaders at a rally on gun legislation in Livingston.

The rally is happening at Temple B'Nai Abraham starting at 5 p.m.

The survivors expected to speak are brothers Matthew and Ryan Deitsch and David Hogg.
