Today's weather might be the perfect time to pick up a book if you're indoors.

It's National Read Across America Day.

It was launched in 1998 as a way for the country to celebrate the importance and joys of reading.

The day is celebrated every year on March 2,  in honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday.

Seuss is famous for dozens of children's books, including Cat in the Hat and Green Eggs and Ham
