Anti-bullying class to be held in the Bronx

THE BRONX -

A anti-bullying class will be held in Kingsbridge every Saturday this month by a boxing gym called Build n' Box.

The program will have guest speakers, athletes, actors and entrepreneurs speak to the children about standing up for themselves and others.

"We're teaching kids new things that they don't get to learn other places and teaching them confidence and teaching them how to defend themselves," said boxing champion Peter Dobson.

Parents say they want to teach their kids how to be kind to others and stand up for themselves.

"As a parent of two younger girls, I've seen bullying in the schools and I feel like whatever I can do to help them be stronger and be more confident," said parent Lauren Soto.

The kids will also exercise while learning the importance of self-defense and confidence.
