Residents at one Franklin Avenue apartment building say they are growing angry with the conditions they are living in.
An overflowing trash can holds a broken door at 1229 Franklin Avenue and tenants say there are more problems like it.
Residents living in this apartment building say some locks on the doors do not work and rodents have taken over the building.
"You have to throw something to scare the rats away and sometimes I am scared they are going to jump at me," said Melody Medina.
The building has received a number of violations by the New York City Department of Housing Preservation and Development and the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene.
