A man was forced to spend hours in an urgent care clinic after he was attacked by a dog at Orchard Beach.
Kathy Angrisani and Joseph Chatrunch were taking their usual walk along the beach last week when they say an unleashed dog came lunging toward them and attacked Chatrunch, biting him on the back of his leg.
Chatrunch showed News 12 the wound, which was still bleeding days later. The couple immediately went to an urgent care clinic.
The couple says there's an ongoing issue with people letting their dogs roam freely at Orchard Beach. According to the city Parks Department, some parks allow dogs to be unleashed from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. But in Orchard Beach, leashed dogs are only allowed on the boardwalk, not the sand.
Chatrunch says he's still recovering. The couple decided not to file a police report.
