A family is mourning the loss of a 94-year-old woman who died after a two-alarm fire.

Neighbors described the victim as a sweet woman. They say that the fire shocked many in the community, who are shaken by her death.

Fire officials say the fire started around 3:30 p.m. About 100 firefighters had the fire under control around 4 p.m. 

The woman was in critical condition and succumbed to her injuries at Jacobi Medical Center.

The family has asked for privacy.
