Protests have broken out in response to a viral video of two black men being arrested at a Starbucks in Philadelphia.
A store employee called 911 saying the men were trespassing after they asked to use the restroom and refused to leave.
Philadelphia’s police commissioner defended the arresting officers.
“These officers did absolutely nothing wrong. They followed policy. They did what they were supposed to do," he says.
This video is getting reaction from many on social media, including celebrities.
Starbucks CEO Kevin Johnson spoke out on ABC News.
“The circumstances surrounding the incident and the outcome in our store on Thursday were reprehensible,” Johnson said.
According to the company, the female employee who called the police no longer works at Starbucks.
