Police: Man assaulted 14-year-old girl with can of Chef Boyardee

THE BRONX -

Police are searching for the man who they say assaulted a 14-year-old girl inside a Bronx grocery store last month.

The incident happened on March 2, inside the F.M. Grocery store on E. 163rd Street around 8:30 a.m.

Police released surveillance video of the suspect, who can be seen throwing a can of Chef Boyardee Lasagna at the 14-year-old girl's head.

The girl suffered a cut to her head and was taken to Bronx Lebanon Hospital where she was treated and later released.

Anyone who recognizes the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
