Police: 3 men face murder charges after Valley Stream home invasion
Three men who attempted to rob a home in Valley Stream are being charged with murder in the accidental shooting a 20-year-old man, police say.
Authorities say Michael Durham, Gil Iphael and Joshua Desrosiers caused the death of 20-year-old Pharoh Boone on April 3. According to investigators, neither of the three men shot Boone.
They say John McElroy, who lived at the home, accidentally shot and killed his friend during the home invasion.
Detectives say the three that tried to commit the robbery are responsible for the killing.
“They went there with the intent to rob that house. During that robbery in progress, if you cause the death of a non-participant during that crime, you will be charged with murder,"
McElroy is facing a gun possession charge.
Iphael and Desrosiers were arraigned earlier this week on murder charges. Durham faced a judge this morning.
