About a dozen drivers have filed complaints after receiving bad gasoline from a Sunoco station in Ocean Township.
The gasoline came from the station at Sunset Avenue on Route 35.
According to police, the driver’s cars became disabled after getting the gas and some started smoking heavily.
Police say drivers had to pull off the road.
A sample tested at the Sunoco station showed a significant amount of water in the fuel.
The station has been temporarily closed while the Department of Environmental Protection investigates the cause.
