ShopRite is moving closer to opening up a brand-new store in the Bronx.

As the store stocks up with what it will need, it is beginning to add employees. The store says it plans to hire nearly 250 associates from the community.

The new family-owned grocery store will be located on Bruckner Boulevard and become the first of the grocery chain in the borough.

Many locals say the upcoming store is a big addition and fills the need for a supermarket in the area.

The store is set to open in July.
