Police search for suspect in Fordham salon robbery

Police are searching for a man in connection with a robbery in Fordham.

Officials say two armed men robbed Digna Beauty Salon on the Grand Concourse on April 21.

They say the man took a female employee's pocketbook, which had nearly $2,000 cash inside. They say he also took $100 from a 62-year-old male employee.

Police say one of the individuals believed to be involved in the crime has already been arrested.

The suspect is described as Hispanic, with a thin build and about 6 feet 2 inches tall. He was last seen wearing a gray and black windbreaker jacket.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the police department.
