Video shows LIRR commuter shouting racist comments

NEW YORK -

Footage of a Long Island Rail Road commuter shouting profanities at a black woman has gone viral.

The video was uploaded about a week ago, and shows the commuter yelling at a woman, who is seated off camera, for talking on her phone during the ride.

According to reports, the video was taken on a train from Penn Station to Long Beach.

The man can be heard yelling profanities like, “I can’t listen to your black sh** no more.”

News 12 is told that though another rider did come to the woman’s defense, it only further fueled the man’s tirade.

LIRR administrators say the rider’s language was inappropriate. They say they’re investigating the incident.
