Police: Teen suspect charged in Sedgwick Avenue murder

Police have released new information on a murder case that happened last month.

Police tell News 12 a teenage suspect has been arrested in connection to a murder in Kingsbridge Heights.

According to authorities, 16-year-old Jeremiah Melendez is being charged with murder after the death of 28-year-old Ronnie Gardner last month on Sedgwick Avenue.

As News 12 previously reported, the victim was found with stab wounds to his thigh and died from the injuries at the hospital.
