HUNTS POINT -

A man is accused of robbing an 80-year-old man inside of an elevator in the Bronx.

The incident happened on April 19, inside of an apartment building near Bryant Avenue and Aldus Street around 1 p.m.

Police say the suspect walked up to the man and attempted to engage him in conversation before pushing him up against a wall inside of the elevator and robbing him.

The suspect got away with $300 from the victim's pocket.

Police have released surveillance video of the suspect.

Anyone who recognizes the man is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS.
