Business Briefs: Facebook, Amazon, Tesla

Facebook is cracking down on third-party applications. Roughly 200 apps have been suspended for potentially misusing people's data. This comes after an audit prompted by the Cambridge Analytica scandal, says Cheddar. Facebook has looked into thousands of those apps so far.

Amazon wants a more diverse board. The company is adopting the 'Rooney Rule' to increase diversity. The policy will ensure women and minorities be considered for open board positions. All 10 of the company's current directors are white, and only three are women.

Tesla is shaking up its management team amid a series of high level departures. CEO Elon Musk says the reorganization will cut out the middleman, and give employees direct access to company leaders. Tesla will continue to hire full-time workers as it tries to keep up with its production goals.
