Students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Florida will serve as grand marshals of the 28th annual Long Island Pride parade in Long Beach.
It will be the state's largest tribute to the 17 people that died during the shooting.
The students will attend a special tribute taking place at the annual Pride on the Beach festival.
The students plan to speak about their beloved teacher Scott Beigel.
The 35-year-old Dix Hills native gave his life in order to have his students.
The festival begins June 8 and lasts all weekend.
