News 12 The Bronx has been awarded the Prestigious Society of Professional Journalists Deadline Club award for Local TV Spot News Reporting for its coverage during the Bronx Lebanon Hospital shooting.

News 12's Amanda Bossard, producer Jason Wirchin, audio engineer Matt Prusinowski and former News 12 director Rachel Czerwinski accepted the award.

The group accepted the award Monday evening at the Harvard Club in Manhattan.

The coverage of the Bronx Lebanon Hospital shooting occurred in the summer of 2017.
