Memorial Day weekend got off to a rough start for some Metro-North riders Friday night.
The walk bridge in South Norwalk became stuck after a scheduled opening, making it impassable for about an hour.
Commuters were stranded as trains came to a halt while MTA crews worked to secure the bridge.
The delays caused many to alter the plans on the fly.
