A man accused of kidnapping his 10-month-old son in Paterson Wednesday morning has been arrested.

Officials say that George Berry violated a restraining order this morning by kicking in the front door of a home, attacking the mother of his child and then fleeing with the boy.

The incident sparked an Amber Alert. The boy was found at a relative’s house a few hours later and returned to his mother.

Berry was later arrested and now faces charges, according to the Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office.
