Breakfast honors Nassau's top students

The class of 2018 Nassau County valedictorians and salutatorians were celebrated Friday at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.
Officials say the annual event is an acknowledgment of the students' 13 years of dedication and commitment to excellence.
"This is an opportunity for us to thank their parents, to thank their families and friends, their communities, the school district administrators and building administrators who have worked with them," said David Flatley, president of the Nassau County Council of School Superintendents.
News 12 Long Island's Elizabeth Hashagen delivered the keynote address. She encouraged the students to keep working until they achieve their goals. Go HERE to watch her entire speech.
