A missing person case has turned into a murder investigation in Hamden after officials say a son admitted to killing his mother.
Donna Tucker, 60, was reported missing on Friday after her sister said she hadn't heard from her in over a day.
Police searched Tucker’s home on 128 Broadway and found her body on the property.
They say her son, 35-year-old Kyle Tucker, confessed to killing his mother.
He's been charged with murder and tampering with evidence.
The Hamden police chief says social media was a huge help in the investigation.
Police say they've responded to Kyle Tucker's home multiple times over the years, and say he has a history of mental illness.
Tucker is being held on a $5 million bond and will appear in court Monday morning.
