MOTT HAVEN -

A 73-year-old man was found stabbed to death inside of his apartment after he reportedly won the lottery.

Owen Dillard, 73, was found dead Monday with stab wounds to his neck inside of his 352 Beekman Ave. apartment around 8:30 p.m., police say.

The discovery was made by his fiancée who called 911.

Dillard's nephew, who wished not to be named, tells News 12 that police showed him surveillance video of two men entering the building and leaving the building.

He says the men were in their 20s and 30s, and he is asking that they turn themselves into police.

The nephew says his uncle recently visited a doctor who told him the 73-year-old only had a few months left to live.

According to the New York Daily News, Dillard had just won money in the lottery.

Police did not formally state if the two men seen on surveillance video are suspects in Dillard's death.

A medical examiner will determine the exact cause of death.
