Religious institutions, schools getting millions to improve security

Gov. Andrew Cuomo on Wednesday announced a $25 million grant fund to help improve security at religious institutions and schools.
Nearly $2.2 million of the Securing Communities Against Hate Crimes funds will be given to 45 Long Island facilities.
Facilities like the Mid Island Y JCC in Plainview, which has received numerous bomb threats, will also get grant money from the state.
